This is what I KNOW to be true. God.. The Great Spirit.. Supreme Being was the only one. Only Spirit existed, and we were willed into existence. So if we were made from God, and the only thing that existed was God.. than we had to of been made of God. So if we are made of God, and nothing else.. than God is inside of us. We are God, in a sense. We can never be apart or separate from our creator. God is not a celestial being existing in a solid form like us, just hanging out up in the sky waiting for us to "come home". God is inside us. And when we realize and accept this, it opens up countless possibilities for us. I still maintain my position of acceptance though. If following a certain religion, or book is a way that speaks to you and allows you to connect with and worship the creator, than you do you! However, never let another person, book, religion, anything tell you that your creator is not apart of you. Spirit is everywhere, awaiting your acceptance of the divine connection you have with each other, and all other beings in the universe.
And please don't get me wrong about my views of the Bible, either. I believe the Bible is a Godly INSPIRED book (inspired by, not written by), and can be used to greatly enhance a person's faith. However, I do not believe the Bible was intended to be an outline, from beginning to end, of a person's faith. It was a starting point. Written for a time long ago, guiding people to the starting line, not bringing them to the finish line. I believe it should be read and interpreted, to take it literally is ludicrous.. and then use that foundation to build on by exploring your connection with God in a personal way. IT IS OK to explore God and discover the magnitude of the Divine on your own, you don't need the Bible to tell you what God is, find out for yourself. Pray, and then when you're done, meditate. It's not just about talking (praying) to God, you gotta give Spirit a chance to talk back (meditation).
